"Channeling Fort Point" was a public art collaboration with artist Andrew Edman that was funded by The Fort Point Arts Community and New England Foundation for the Arts. A six week temporary sculpture made of copper and wood, the concept for "Channeling Fort Point" was inspired by the Fort Point neighborhood's industrial roots that have provided the framework for what is now a vibrant community of artists; both the materials and structure of the piece allude to Fort Point's creative past, present and future.
In the Fall of 2009 East Somerville Main Streets invited me to create a painting on one of their city switchboxes. The switchbox being on a median, I wanted to utilize each view of the switchbox uniquely, making each view it's own experience while keeping the two sides connected. On one side I created a morning breakfast scene, and for the other an evening bedroom- the idea being one passes one way in the morning, and the other at night. This project was made possible by East Somerville Main Streets and The Somerville Arts Council.
